工藤玲, Ray Kudo
Mixed Media Artist. Originally hailing from Kochi Prefecture, Japan, Ray Kudo has spent several years capturing photographs of real glass neon signs on the street, primarily in Asia but also in the United States and Europe. After engaging in luminous tube production in California – USA, Kyiv – Ukraine, and Nagasaki – Japan, he is currently based in Kyoto, creating mixed media artworks. During his adolescence, the luminosity of the local red-light district’s lights and the brilliance of the neon signs in the streets of Las Vegas, struck his soul like an electric shock. Through the illumination of lights, he has learned to peer into the world, perpetually wandering through the ambiguous realm between dreams and reality. his art is an adventurous endeavor that weaves an indescribable romance through the luminous world that adorns the dark nights.
